I didn't feel rushed or pressured to buy from them, they were friendly and relaxed throughout. The car I bought from them has low miles, good service history and has obviously been looked after. Chris made sure the car was in good working order before he'd let me collect it. It's had 4 new tyres, new cam belt, a years MOT, a full service and had been cleaned nicely ready for me to pick it up. It came with a 6 month warranty in case of any issues. Chris made sure to stay after his usual closing time so I could collect the car and Ben the dog sat with me while I signed the papers and made me feel very welcome. I'd recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a second hand car

Can I just give a massive shout out to Chris Hodgson, Gail Hodgson, Chris Hodgson Car Sales Ltd and Aucklands Garage? Honestly. I've been buying cars from Chris and Gail for the last few years and taking them to Aucklands for pretty much anything I've needed doing. The whole team are so honest, helpful and accommodating. No issue is ever too much and, despite my vehicular hypercondria, they always take me seriously and put my mind at ease. My Golf has just gone in for some pretty major work, and I know whole-heartedly that the team will look after her and do a bang-up job in getting her back on the road. I've never been ripped off or charged for work that doesn't need doing, and I've always been treated more than fairly. Thank you for everything you do and for being a properly decent bunch. If anyone is looking for a new mechanic or a place to get yourself a decent second-hand car, I wouldn't recommend anyone or anywhere else.

Such a fantastic experience of buying a car. Having searched up and down the country and let down by so many so called quality garages at our expense we finally found more than what we were looking for right on our doorstep. It wasn’t just the car we fell in love with but also the first class service , from stepping on their forecourt to the absolutely no pressure sales. The process was so easy and comfortable, from our side things took a little longer than we wanted but they were extremely understanding and helped us throughout the whole process. The car is just perfect as is the whole package they offer. Warranty, after sales , a real family feel from a local garage and nothing is to much trouble. They really look after you and this comes across with everything they do. Look forward to buying all our future cars from Chris Hodgson and have already recommended to friends and work colleagues.

The term ‘used car salesman’ can bring visions of dodgy dealings to mind, but nothing could be further from the truth with Chris and Gail. We’ve just bought a Merc from them and couldn’t have been better looked after; totally professional and yet very personable. Every detail was explained; they looked after the registration transfer; they covered everything with friendliness and we never had any regrets that we’d bought from them. Second, choose a dealer that has their own garage as back up so that every car is thoroughly prepared and everything that needs to be attended to, is, before handover. Third, pick a dealer that recognises good 'customer service' is essential for a successful business. Fourth, look for a dealer that is confident to offer a 6 months warranty. My husband and myself have been using Chris hodgsons car sales for over 20 years now. We both get ours cars from him and it is always a pleasure to deal with him and Gail  ( and to see the dogs lol ).  We feel like good friends now and know we will always get a coffee if calling in. Very professional and nothing is any trouble. We had one vehicle with a problem after buying it and Chris was straight on it until it was fixed  and he even lent me a car until problem solved.  I would never fail to recommend his car sales to anyone.

Jack Langley I purchased a ford mondeo, for use as a taxi. On collection the car was cleaned and valeted, fully serviced. with new front brakes and pads fitted. and had a new mot, no advisories. I was given a 3 month or 3000 mile warranty. the car passed a York Hackney carriage inspection 3 days latter, no problems. I had a problem with the fuel pump, 300 miles before my warranty ran out. Chris fitted a new pump, and me back on the road in 2 days. No charge. Both Chris, and his wife Gail were professional and courteous at all times (in fact, one could say that they both went above and beyond), And I will contact them when I am looking for another car, even though they are over 200 miles away from me. I just wanted to let you know that the Toyota Auris I purchased the other week is a fantastic car! Not only is it economical both on petrol and tax, it travels really well as I went down to Telford from Scarborough! It is a longish journey, 3 3/4 hours, and it drove like a dream. For a 1000cc engine I have no complaints regarding motorway driving as it holds it’s own and makes over take safe! Urban driving is just as good! The level of customer service you gave to me was second to none! It made the whole process of buying a car painless.
